Beer mmmmmm.................. My favorite adult beverage and no Bud Light is not beer sorry. Two of my favorites right now have to be Rogue out of Oregon and Pike From Seattle. What sets them apart well that is for you to decide everything else is just my opinion and I will guide you where to find them so you can judge for yourself. Now who's got them Brasserie Margaux in Belltown has a notable wine list but more notable is the heads they have started to turn by advertising the best happy hour in town. So profoundly advertised I had to stop in. Located at the bottom of the Warwick Hotel I assumed a hotel bar what is on draft probably the usual eeewww.... Bud Light, Coors Light eh WRONG. They have it right, not only a notable happy hour with a different offer for almost every day of the week, and a very persuasive wine list with having their French influence and superb Tapas. But they have some beer respect. Rotating handles catching the attention for those looking for more. They are hip with the new Guinness Surge Unit which draws you in almost like Chris Angel and has you asking why and how does it do what it does great conversation starter, and yes everyone was intrigued. Or the right staples to keep the regulars Red Hook, Mack N' Jack, and Stella. But more notable those palate cleansers from the micro brew gold rush, Rogue, Maritime, and Union Jack. Might I say a bold choice for their Rogue choice staying away from the status quo and not choosing Dead Guy for a change something that has not been a Rogue staple their Mom's Hefeweizen. Step aside Pyramid and Widmer
if it became a staple not sure what you would do. Might I ad currently the only place in Seattle you can find this seasonal Rogue is at Brasserie Margaux. Other notables, Tapas great choice almost a meal for two. Sliders change weekly, buy two and the third is free daily from 2pm to 11pm whats not to like. How about the allure of their wine list see something you like while you are sipping your house wine for $4 and would try if you could get it at a happy hour price. Well you can every Thursday at Brasserie Margaux is half of wine bottle night, wines rotate every Thursday and you have a chance to try some of those premium wines by the bottle at a great price. Wait there is more it spills into Friday you might say well I am a foodie and a wino and want some food with my wine well now you can every Friday purchase any bottle of wine from their wine list and you get a FREE appetizer or dessert from their dinner menu. I forgot to mention the happy hour does not end until you leave because parking is validated in their secure parking garage and you might catch the manager on your way out who so politely will introduce himself and offer you his business card and flip it over and its a Happy Hour VIP pass which entitles you to a free chef's appetizer for every two drinks you purchase every time you come in.Well hats off to you Brasserie Margaux I would say the more that find you in your cozy little corner of Belltown you might just have the Best Happy Hour In Seattle. So whatever you do tweet it, digg it, buzz it, favorite it, stumple on it, unplug an check them out you will thank us later.
