Wann Japanese Izakaya

Located in Belltown on second avenue between Lenora and Virginia street you will find Wann. Which which features Japaneses cuisine in a serene setting. What is Izakaya "An Izakaya is a common Japanese bar/restaurant that is often found in cosmopolitan areas for after-work relaxation and an opportunity to unwind after a busy day. These restaurants are often informal and have a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Izakaya restaurants all have a multi-faceted menu and offer many types of food such as sashimi, tempura and yakitori; all appetizing dishes which go well with the alcohol served such as beer, sake and shochu. Due to the informal atmosphere, instead of ordering and eating individual platters, customers usually share all dishes with one another in their party. The ability to share food among your party is what makes the Izakaya experience truly unique." Now don't let the neighborhood of Belltown scare you off from this great find with the night club overgrowth of the area it still does not overshadow the great restaurants in the area and what they have to bring to the area. With a cozy atmosphere that almost hugs you as you dine on their happy hour appetizers that start at $2 while you gaze at their mural that is painted on an exterior wall. I have had the opportunity to visit this establishment several times. I you enjoy sake and Japanese beer while munching on Japanese cuisine this might be your spot. Lets not forget the upbeat and attentive staff that will engage you and don't forgot your name even after your first visit. If you are in the area for an informal get together, romantic evening or just want a place to talk some after work business I think you will be more than impressed with this find. It truly has grown on me and seek out my next opportunity to return.
